After witnessing many friends, neighbors, and community members be funneled into the incarceration system, Victoria Venzor became motivated to pursue a legal career in criminal justice. Within in her legal studies and career, Victoria seeks to infuse her identity as a first-generation Latina, her experiences and interactions with the legal system, and her background in social science into her future practice of law. Victoria plans to work at a non-profit centered on supporting system-impacted individuals and provide trauma-informed legal representation. She also aspires to create change by dismantling and reforming systems of oppression, such as the the criminal justice system, through policy and legislative reform. Victoria intends to continuously push the limits in protecting marginalized individuals and communities in hopes of creating a society inclusive for all. Victoria is a 1L at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
