Inspired by the transformative work of Justices Thurgood Marshall, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Ketanji Brown Jackson, Saleshia Ellis is deeply motivated to address the complex issues of their generation. Saleshia is committed to being a powerful and unique voice in the rooms where laws and policies are shaped. They bring a wealth of experience, having served as a legislative fellow in Denmark and worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Alongside their legal studies, they have founded two small businesses, E4TheJob Consulting Agency and Ellis Prints Décor, through which they have raised funds to renovate parks and support single mothers. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., known for its commitment to public service, Saleshia also dedicates their time as a math tutor at the Boys & Girls Club. They are a 1L at UC Davis School of Law.
