As a first-generation graduate, Jasmine Kaur is determined to use her education and the opportunities that have been afforded to her as a way to contribute to her community. Having roots in Panjab and family members who are immigrants, Jasmine has witnessed the struggles it takes to achieve the “American Dream” first hand. She is an advocate who has worked with survivors of abuse and other marginalized communities and aspires to be the bridge that ends the disconnect between the legal field and accessibility to aid. Jasmine graduated from the University of La Verne College of Law. Her host organization is Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in San Bernardino.
