A grandson of one of the pioneers of the bracero movement in Northern California in the 1950s, Irving Partida seeks to help the often-underserved agricultural migrant community. Through the fellowship, he wants to give resources to people who are in his family’s shoes so they can obtain immigration status. Irving graduated from Cal Western School of Law. His host organization is CHIRLA, at the organization’s Porterville office.
