Gladys Hernandez Cisneros

Gladys Hernandez is a ChangeLawyer Scholar & Fellow, and a 2022 graduate of UC Davis School of Law. Her ChangeLawyers Fellowship placed her at For The People, a nonprofit organization fighting for the release of people who are incarcerated. She decided to become a lawyer to help people like her family. Glady’s mother has been exploited by employers and her siblings have had opportunities denied to them because of their undocumented status. As a law student, Gladys has interned at various local and legal organizations assisting with reentry efforts, restorative justice, and eviction defense. Upon passing the California Bar Exam, Gladys plans to continue her work in public interest and to give back to society’s most vulnerable in a meaningful way.
