Sandra Herrera is passionate about advocacy and is an aspiring lawyer dedicated to social justice and public service. Sandra has witnessed first-hand the challenges and obstacles many marginalized individuals face, particularly those from minority backgrounds. Her experiences, including working for DFCS and as a victim advocate at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office solidified her goal to pursue a legal career focused on representing and empowering others. As a daughter of immigrants from Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, Sandra plans to work in either immigration law in the future, start her own non profit, or pursue a career at a district attorney’s office advocating for victims and the community. Sandra believes in transformative power of law to create a more equal society ensuring fair representation for all. Sandra aims to amplify marginalized voices and contribute to a legal system where respect and justice is accessible to everyone regardless of their background or status.
