Nazeerah Ali is motivated to pursue a career in litigation after excelling as a decorated mock trial competitor. Prior to law school Nazeerah served as a 3rd grade project-based learning teacher in Oakland where she developed curriculum centered around indigenous history, access to water, socio-emotional wellness, and restorative justice. During law school, she worked at East Bay Community Law Center and East Bay Children’s Law Offices where she assisted transient citizens in challenging fines, fees, and restitution and represented juveniles in both delinquency and dependency court. After passing the California Bar Exam, she plans to work in crisis and strategy law to advance the struggles of marginalized communities domestically and abroad. Nazeerah is a 3L at Berkeley Law.
