Maya Salameh is motivated to pursue a career in immigration reform after witnessing the challenges her Arab American family and community faced navigating citizenship. Her background in advocacy and community-based research has fueled her commitment to racial justice. After passing the California Bar Exam, Maya plans to work with an immigration non-profit to help foster a more equitable and inclusive legal system for California’s immigrant, refugee, and mixed-status families. Maya is a 1L at UCLA School of Law.
