Growing up in Compton, Jannet Gomez witnessed many of her peers and community members fall victim to the prison pipeline and be criminalized. This sparked her desire to become a public interest attorney. Jannet plans on using her legal education to provide community lawyering and plans on expanding access to legal aid to several inner-city communities throughout California. Jannet Gomez is a 1L at Stanford School of Law.
