Eva Umejido

Born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and raised in Santa Barbara, Eva Umejido understands first-hand the many challenges faced by immigrants. Prior to this fellowship, Eva was a law clerk for the Santa Barbara Public Defender office and interned with the Honorable Michael Carrozzo in the Santa Barbara Superior Court. Eva is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside and Santa Barbara College of Law in 2018. Her host organization is El Concilio Family Services in Oxnard, California.
