Silvia Kirollos immigrated from Egypt to the U.S. and is a rigorous advocate of human rights. During her study aboard in Jordan, she chose to help and investigate the plight of female refugees affected by gender-based violence to shed light on how to combat it. Locally, Silvia served as a JusticeCorp fellow and volunteer at self-help centers in Los Angeles courthouses, where she assisted litigants who cannot afford their own attorney, fill out and file their legal documents. As an attorney, Silvia will seek change and amendments to laws surrounding the handling of gender-based violence. She intends to empower local non-governmental organizations in addressing gender-based violence locally and internationally. Silvia is a 1L at Southwestern Law School.
