Rodrigo Martinez is a first-generation law student raised by immigrant parents from the Inland Empire. He desires to learn the language of the law in order to become an effective agent of change for his community. While volunteering at legal self-help clinics at the Richmond Superior Courthouse, he realized that he wanted to do much more than just the initial pleadings. This fueled his desire to become an attorney. He plans to become actively involved with his school’s pro bono program and use his position as a law student to uplift and aid residents of the Orange County community. Rodrigo is a 1L at UC Irvine School of Law.
