As a non-traditional law student, Kyra Byers has always been passionate about ensuring that minority voices are heard. During her time in law school, she has been an advocate in and outside the classroom. She assumed a leadership position as President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and through her studies, has completed extensive research on how minorities and the law intersect. Combining her leadership and advocacy skills with her education on minorities and the law, she intends to be a Public Defender. She aims to join a team that zealously advocates for every client, including minorities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Kyra is a 3L at the Historically Black University Florida A&M University College of Law.
