From Detroit, Michigan, Kris Chaney has experienced the law in many different practice areas. Kris has worked in bankruptcy law, for a private law firm that practices primarily civil law, for dependency law, and for two public defender’s offices. She is passionate about criminal law because of the people that it helps. She loves the law and feels fulfilled when she is in a courtroom. She believes the courtroom is where she truly belongs, and a place where she can help people find the truth and feel whole again. Kris wants to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a zealous advocate so that she can help other young aspiring students reach their legal goals. Kris is a 3L at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
