Issa Hawatmeh

Issa Hawatmeh is a Law Clerk at Perkins Coie LLP, supporting the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group. After spending the duration of his law school career working with emerging companies from three-person organizations to mature multinational start-ups, he was motivated to focus his career on supporting underrepresented communities, particularly SWANA (Southwest Asian North African) founders looking to bring their perspectives and innovative ideas to fruition. As a Middle Eastern individual himself, Issa understands the challenges that minority entrepreneurs face in the business world, and is driven to empower them to overcome obstacles and pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. He believes that through his work, he can help to build a more inclusive and equitable future for all. Issa is a 3L at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
