Eugene Ki Kim is a first-generation Korean American who was inspired to become a lawyer after witnessing the struggles his family faced in the aftermath of the 2008 housing crisis. His passion for law was further reinforced during his time as an intern at the Korean Resource Center in Los Angeles, where he worked with Korean American adoptees who were at risk of being deported due to President Donald Trump’s decision to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. After graduating from UC Law SF, Eugene wants to help find solutions for the inequalities that plague the legal system.
