Impacted by both the system of mass incarceration and recent anti-trans legislation, Eli Vasquez’s motivation for their commitment to social justice derives from personal lived experiences. Eli hopes to provide legal assistance to low-income minorities affected by the system of mass incarceration, assist queer individuals with legal gender/name changes, and combat recent anti-trans legislation. Hoping to create much-needed change in his home state of Texas, Eli is a 1L at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
