As a first-generation law student, Del Smith hopes to bridge the gap between underrepresented communities and government bodies. He plans to pursue work as a government litigator to ensure individuals receive the full benefits of policies from government bodies. He is motivated to pursue this work following his time in state and local government where he witnessed how policies can have harsh unintended consequences on those with little to no means. Del Smith is a 1L at USC Gould School of Law.
