Damian Cortez

Damian was born in Vallejo and raised in Vacaville, CA. While in undergrad, he discovered his passion for advocacy which led to his decision to pursue a law degree. While in law school, he was a member of the Civil Rights Clinic, a DEI Editor for the Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Honors Board. He was also a Judicial Extern for Chief Judge Kimberly Mueller at the US District Court for the Eastern District of California. He is most proud of being President of BLSA his 2L year because of the vast opportunities to build community. Damian is currently a Judicial Extern for Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero at the California Supreme Court. After law school, Damian will continue working to create a pipeline for diverse students to navigate law school. Damian is a 3L at UC Davis School of Law.
