Christian Meyer was born and raised in a low-income Hispanic community in the San Fernando Valley. Raised by a single Mexican mother who never finished high school, Christian was inspired to pursue a legal career after seeing her and others in his community struggle from housing instability, lack of access to legal resources, and restricted opportunities for employment due to their education level. His interest in the law was affirmed while he was an undergrad at Johns Hopkins University, where he took courses that further revealed how the American legal system is deeply intertwined with the marginalization of minority identities and communities. After law school, Christian hopes to work for a firm or non-profit in California that specializes in impact litigation and public interest in the areas of immigration, housing, education, and LGBTQ+ rights law. He is a 1L at Stanford Law School.
