Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Berenice Barajas witnessed the direct impact the legal system had on her family and community from an early age. Motivated by her experiences, Berenice aims to advocate for a more equitable legal system that empowers families and communities to address their unique legal challenges. After passing the California Bar Exam, she plans to work in Los Angeles representing marginalized clients through their ongoing legal battles. Berenice is a 1L at Loyola Law School.
