Ariana Canalez was raised by an immigrant family in the Bay Area, and has personally witnessed the disparities that low income and disenfranchised families face in navigating the legal system. Through her work during law school at the SF Bay Area local public defenders’ offices, and on the board for school organizations working to increase diversity and lawyers who come from traditionally underrepresented ethnic groups, Ariana hopes to advance the justice system toward a more equitable world for all communities regardless of income or minority status. Her career goal is to provide empathetic and capable legal representation to communities who are traditionally overlooked by the justice system. Ariana is a 4L in the part-time program at Golden Gate University School of Law.
