An immigrant from Vietnam, daughter of a domestic-violence survivor, and first-generation college student, Thao “Annie” Le’s experiences shaped her understanding of how the law can be used as a tool for safety and empowerment. Annie gave back through her positions with the Bay Area Legal Aid’s Domestic Violence Unit, Family Violence Appellate Project, Alameda DA’s Family Justice Center, and the SF Unified Family Court. An active and engaged student leader, she has also served as Co-Chair of the USF Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF), USF Moot Court Board Member, and published an article on secondary trauma on the USF Law Review’s Forum. Annie is a 3L at USF School of Law.
