Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, Anisa K. Abrams holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music, specializing in Music Business. While at Berklee, her passion for safeguarding artists’ rights eclipsed her aspirations as a performer. Upon graduation, she joined Universal Music Group, where she gained valuable experience as a legal assistant to the Senior Vice Presidents of Republic, Island, and Def Jam Recordings. During her time in law school, she served as an Entertainment Law fellow and played an active role in the Law Review, black Law Student Association, National Black Law Student Association, and Student Bar Association. Upon passing the bar, Anisa plans to establish her own law firm dedicated to protecting the rights and intellectual property of artists and musicians. Anisa is a 3L at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
